Rythmeter

Are you dancing on the beat?

Rythmeter listens to the bass of the music around you, finds the beat, and compares it with the moves measured by your phone's accelerometer, showing hit by hit whether you were on time.

Getting good results

• Play music loud, with a clear beat and a strong bass line.
• Hold the phone firmly in your hand and mark the beat with your arm or body.
• Dance for at least 10–15 seconds before tapping Stop.
• If you always come out late or early by the same amount, use Settings → Calibration.

Troubleshooting

"Couldn't find a beat" — the music is too quiet or has little bass: turn it up or move closer to the speaker.
"Moves too weak" — hold the phone instead of keeping it in a pocket, and make your accents sharper.
No microphone/motion access — enable them in iOS Settings → Rythmeter.
