AZNote — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 31 August 2026

AZNote is made by ilevia S.r.l.

The short version

AZNote does not collect anything. There is no AZNote account, no analytics and

no advertising. Your notes stay on your device and in your own iCloud. The one

exception is web sharing: if you choose to share a note through a web link, that

note's text is copied to our server so the people you send the link to can read

and edit it. Nothing is shared until you ask for it.

Where your notes live

Your notes, drawings, imported PDFs and audio recordings are stored on your own

device. If you are signed in to iCloud and have iCloud Drive enabled, they are

also synchronised through your own iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit, so

the same notes appear on your iPad and your Mac. That data belongs to your Apple

Account; we have no access to it and cannot read it. It is covered by Apple's

privacy policy.

Web sharing (only if you use it)

Sharing a note or a branch "on the web" creates a page on our own server

(aznote.edros.com) holding the text of that note, so that anyone with the link

can open and, unless you made the link read-only, edit it. Only the note you

share is copied — never the rest of your library — and only while sharing is on

for it. The link is unguessable but not password-protected: anyone who has it

can open the page, so share it only with people you trust. We do not look at

shared notes, do not analyse them and do not pass them to anyone else; they are

kept solely to serve the page back to you and the people you gave the link to.

A shared note can also be encrypted before it leaves your device: the key

then lives only in the part of the link after the “#”, which browsers never

send to a server, so what we hold is text we cannot read — and neither can

anyone without the full link.

Turning sharing off for a note stops the page from being served. If you want a

shared note deleted from the server, write to the address below and we will

remove it.

Sharing a folder with other Apple users instead goes through Apple's own iCloud

Sharing: that data travels between iCloud accounts and never touches our server.

What we do not do

Purchases

The one-time "AZNote Pro" purchase is handled entirely by Apple through the App

Store. We never see your payment details. Apple tells the app only whether the

purchase exists on your Apple Account.

Permissions the app may ask for

with the note and are never uploaded to us.

are scheduled locally on your device; nothing is sent to a server.

Children

AZNote is suitable for all ages and collects no data from anyone, children

included.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be published at this address with

an updated date.
